PARTS BULLETIN 1 (2)

No. 14/2017 Rev A

Author: Liisa Pohjonen
February 24, 2021

TOPIC: OBSOLETE OF GROUND FAULT RELAY 86794809 AND

GROUND FAULT SENSOR 86794939
CONCERNS: Dx420, Dx320, DS410, DS510, Axera / Robolt / Solo 7 (USA, Canada)

The Owner of machinery has a liability to inform and when necessary to train according to the content of this Bulletin all the
personnel (like operators, maintenance personnel) whom this Bulletin concerns.

After this change the main switchgear does not have ground fault monitoring.
NOTICE Make sure that the supply of the machine has the ground fault monitoring.

Sandvik has upgraded the relay connections because of the obsolete ground fault relay 86794809 and
ground fault sensor 86794939. If the ground fault relay or sensor breaks down, it is not available anymore.

Ground-conductor monitoring is required at the source of supply and is therefore not mandatory on the drill
rig electrical equipment by the North American standards such as CSA M421-11 “Use of electricity in
mines”.

The following changes for the connections must be done due to the obsolete of the ground fault relay
86794809 and sensor 86794939.
