ASSESSMENT 2: REVIEW

PRESENTATION (30%)

How to submit Coursework 2: Review Presentation (Individual marks)

▶ Coursework 2: Review Presentation must be submitted BEFORE your class in Week 4


1. For EACH subgroup in your class, please assign ONE subgroup leader. That is
▶ 1 subgroup leader for Group 1
▶ 1 subgroup leader for Group 2
▶ 1 subgroup leader for Group 3
▶ 1 subgroup leader for Group 4
2. a) Each student is required to video-record the presentation of their respective personal
experiences and values learnt from Assessment 1 in about three (3) minutes.
a) The video recording should display the following:
• The full name of the presenter
• The presenter is required to show his/her student ID card (close-view) in the video
before he/she begins the presentation.
• The presenter needs to be properly attired (formal attire) and should be in a
standing position.
• Visual and audio clarity
− very minimal visual or noise distraction in the background

− the location is sufficiently lit

•At least ¾ view of the student’s stature (head to the knee), with appropriate use of
body gesture during presentation.
• Appropriate eye contact.
• Don’t read from the text / notes
▶ (The presenter should stand alone, without the presence of another person in
the video).
▶ Video must be recorded in one take only.
3. Which part do you need to present?
▶ ONLY your individual part. It has been decided that you only need to present your:
▶ Paragraph 1 - Personal Experience
▶ Paragraph 3 - 1st value learnt
▶ Paragraph 4 - 2nd value learnt
(No presentation for Personal Thought is needed)
4. No power point slides are needed or to be submitted to lecturer. However, you can prepare
your own props such as relevant pictures etc during your presentation in order to make your
presentation more interesting.
5. All individual recorded video presentations to be compiled in the subgroup's video by the
Subgroup's Leader and upload it in Google Classroom.
Please label your subgroup’s video properly.
For example,
▶ Submission - Assessment 2: Review Presentation RSF3S1G7 (subgroup 1,2,3 or 4)-------for
title
▶ Type the name of each presenter in the group (following the order as in Table of Score for
CW1; the same order should be used when you combine each individual video in the
combined video file)
▶ then compiled and upload the videos using relevant link (ASSESSMENT 2: SUBMISSION)
in Google Classroom
▶ Submission date: BEFORE YOUR CLASS IN WEEK 4

Dialogue
THE GUIDELINE
1 a) Each class is required to run a review dialogue on the Industrial Revolution 4,
environmental, economic and political topics listed in the course via Google
Classroom.
b) Each class has to select a Dialogue Coordinator and an Assistant Dialogue
Coordinator whose tasks are as follows (note: both of them do not need to be in any
of the groups)
● Coordinate the dialogue between groups
● Ensure that the dialogue meets the learning objectives of the posting in
Google Classroom
● Complete and submit the summary report of the online review dialogue
(see Appendix iii) by the last dialogue session (during tutorial of Week 6)
via Google Classroom.
c) The assigned topics and the weekly tasks are as follows:

Week 4 Industrial Revolution The tutor will post something on IR4 in the class’ Google Classroom
4: Opportunities and and Group 1-4 have to post a comment each in response.

notes: Chapter 8 or 9)

Week 6 Economic issues Group 3 post something on environmental/economic issues in the class’
Google Classroom and Group 1-4 have to post a comment each in response.
(Lecture notes: Chapter 10 or 11)

Week 6 Economic issues Group 4 post something on economic issue in the class’ Google Classroom
and Group 1-4 have to post a comment each in response. (Lecture notes:
Chapter 12 or 13)

d) Each group is required to post short articles, personal experience or videos
related to the topic assigned to the group as well as the learning objective of
the posting. The comments of each group in response to the posting should be
in the length of 150-200 words. For the comments, each group is required to
provide relevant points to express the reasons why they agree or disagree or
give supports and elaborations to the question asked that is related to posted
topic.

✔ For short article: Around 400-1000 words

✔ For video: Around 5 -10 minutes

✔ Both article and video must be relevant to the ‘Learning Objective / Dialogue
Question’ and about Malaysia
e) Each comment must have 3 proper in-text citations and
website links.
f) Group discussion (to answer the question) must be done in
class.

► Important Notes:
● Plagiarized work will be given zero.
● For group/class assessment, if a student has been reported by
the group to be passive or noncontributing, he or she will be
given zero or a reduction of marks.
● Late submission will lead to deduction of marks or a zero.
