METHOD STATEMENT FOR NON-STRUCTURAL CRACK REPAIR

BY CUTTING V-GROOVE AND SEAL WITH StoPox SK 21-S, Epoxy Mortar

1. Visually inspect and identify cracks.

2. Cut a V-groove along crack by using pneumatic chisel or electrical grinder.

3. Remove dust, laitance etc from the hacked V-groove.

4. Mix StoPox SK 21-S that come in two portions with a scrapper until it is uniform in colour.

5. Patch the V-groove with StoPox SK 21-S epoxy mortar and level with a scrapper.

6. Allow epoxy mortar to cure for 4-6 hours.

7. Make good the surfaces, if necessary.

Recommendation to make good for external finisher

1. Apply a coat of approved waterproofing coating onto the repaired area.

2. Install a layer of fibermesh onto the waterproofing coating while still wet.

3. Apply another coat of waterproofing coating after the first of waterproofing is dried.

4. Make good the surface with approved finishing product.
