METHOD STATEMENT FOR

HONEYCOMB REPAIR BY PRESSURE GROUTING WITH


StoCrete NSG H, Non-Shrink Cementitious Grout
(Thickness: ≤ 100 mm)

The following steps are normally used in pressure grouting with StoCrete NSG H to repair
honeycomb.

Steps

1. Remove all defective loose concrete with electric or pneumatic breakers till sound concrete.
Sound concrete should be 10mm behind reinforcement steel.

2. Wash concrete surface with clean water.

3. Erect formwork with proper strutting.

4. Seal all edges of formwork with quick-set cement to ensure grout tightness.

5. Provide grout in-let pipes at 600mm c/c with breathing pipes at the highest point.

6. Pour StoCrete NSG H to 5.2 to 5.6 litres of water and mix with a low speed drill mixer.

7. Pump in StoCrete NSG H through in-let pipes working from bottom upwards.

8. When grout overflows from the next higher in-let ports, seal off the first in-let port and transfer
the grouting to the next higher port. The process is repeated until the grout has overflows from
the highest breathing port.

9. Seal off the highest port, increase pressure to 15 psi and maintain for 1 minute.

10. Remove formwork after 48 hours.
