Summary:

Anne Shirley, an 11-year-old Orphan Girl from Nova Scotia is Sent to Live with Marilla
and Mathew Cuthbert, Two Middle-aged Siblings Who Live at Green Gables on Prince
Edward Island. Anne`s upbringing Has Been one of Despair and Dismay. She Bounces
from home to home, never being Truly Wanted. Matthew is Sixty, and Since he is
Getting too old to Handle The farm Work on his Own, The Cuthberts Decide to Adopt an
Orphan boy to help-him. This Decision Shocks the Town Gossip, arrives at the train
Station and Finds a Girl Orphan instead of Boy, The Orphanage Sent the Eleven-Year-
Old Anne Shirley by Mistake. Anne`s Talkativeness and Spirit Charm Matthew Who
Shyly Tells Marilla That He Wants to Keep her. Marilla Hesitates at first, but After a
Trial Period, She Agrees to let Anne Stay on Anne is Talkative and happy Girl Despite
living an impoverished Life as an Orphan. Though She Lacks Social Graces and
Education. She has a Rich and Sophisticated Fantasy Life and an Optimistic and generous
Spirit. She attends church for the first time wearing a wreath of wild Flowers, for
example and screams at Mrs. Rachel for Making Fun of her red hair. Anne tries Hard to
Oblige Marilla and follow her Rules of Social conduct But She makes Many Mistakes.
Anne finds a close friend, a “kindred spirit “as She calls Them in the form of Diana
Barry, Who Lives on the Next Farm Over. When Anna Starts School Worthwhile for
Anne. Her Distaste for him Spurred by his nickname for her – “carrots” a job at her and
red hair – Causes her to Complete With him at every Corner. When She is 16, Anne Sits
for the entrance examination to Queen`s Academy with the help of her Teacher, Miss
Stacy. She earns her Teaching Certificate in one Year instead of the Usual Two and Wins
the Avery Scholarship a 250$ a year Grant to four-year Redmond College. However,
Matthew`s Tragic Death of a heart attack when She Hears That they have fallen into
financial ruin due to a bank failure makes Anne reconsider her future plans. Anne
chooses to give up The Scholarship and stay at green Gables with Marilla so that She
doesn`t have to Sell the family home. Gilbert Gives up his teaching position at the
Avonlea School So She can take it and be closer to home, and the two reconcile at the
end of the novel, with the Promise of a close Friendship on the horizon.
1-Anne shirley: Anne is a young orphan who is sent to live with marilla and matthew
cuthbert on their farm in Avonlea. She is an imaginative, independent, and strong-willed
girl who Is known for her fiery red hair and her love of books. Despite her difficult past,
she is determined to make the most of her life and create a new home for herself. She
often impulsive and gets into trouble, but her kind heart and quick mind make her a
beloved member of her community.
Anne is highly intelligent, and she is always eager to learn new things, whether it`s from
books or from her experiences. She is also very passionate and has a great sense of
humor. Anne`s biggest goal is to find her place in the world and be loved and accepted
for who she truly is.

2-Marilla cuthbert: Marilla is the older sister of Mathew Cuthbert and the person who
takes Anne in as her own daughter. She is a no-nonsense woman who is often at odds
with Anne`s wild imagination. Despite this She grows to love Anne deeply and becomes
a mother figure to her. Marilla is a hardworking and practical woman who is known for
her strictness and her high moral standards. She is also fiercely loyal and protective of her
family and her community. Marilla`s biggest goal is to raise Anne to be a responsible and
respectable young woman.

3-Matthew cuthbert: Matthew is Marilla`s brother, and the person who originally
wanted to adopt a boy from the orphanage. He is a kind and gentle man who is often
overshadowed by his more assertive sister. Despite this, he is a loving father figure to
Anne and is known for his love of animal. Matthew is a shy and introverted person, but
he is also very caring and compassionate. He is known for his Good sense of humor and
his ability to connect with animals. Matthew`s biggest Goal is to make sure that Anne is
happy and well taken care of.

4-Gilbert Blyte: Gilbert is a classmate of Anne and her longtime rival. He teases her in
school calling her “carrots” because of her red hair, but despite this Anne and Gilbert
form a Strang bond. Gilbert is a smart, ambitions, and hardworking student who is
determined to succeed in life. He is also a very loyal friend, who is always there for Anne
when she needs him. Gilbert`s biggest goal is to win Anne`s heart and make her his wife.
