Differentiate between Moral and Non- Moral Standards.

Moral standards pertain to the rules people have about the kinds of actions they believe are morally
right and wrong, as well as the values they place on the kinds of objects they believe are morally good
and morally bad. It involves serious wrongs or significant benefit and dealing with matters which can
seriously impact, that is, injure or benefit human beings. Moral standards involve the rules people
have about the kinds of actions they believe are morally right and wrong some ethicists equate moral
standards with moral values and moral principles. Non-moral standards, on the other hand, are the
rules that are unrelated to moral or ethical considerations and there are rules that are unrelated to
moral or ethical considerations. Non-moral standards refer to standards by which we judge what is
good or bad and right or wrong in a non moral way. A non-moral standard goes against the accepted
standards of behavior. Such a person would engage in behavior that is considered as deviant by the
society.
