Ako si Skylar Castillo; I have a late girlfriend and she’s the one
that got away. Athena Estrella, my TOTGA.

Let me tell you a story about me getting so much Déjà vu with my

present girlfriend and my late girlfriend. Napakaraming pagkakahawig
ni Isabella Rivero kay Athena Estrella. Every little thing she does
always reminds me of her. Simulan natin ang kuwentong ito sa kung
paano kami nagkakilala ni Isa. Let’s have a little flashback.

-Flashback-

Habang ako’y naglalakad patungong canteen, I saw a woman, she has the
resemblance to my late girlfriend, Athena. I approached her, lumapit
at umupo ako sa tabi niya.

“Hi! My name is Sky short for Skylar” I smiled.

“I’m Isabelle, just call me Isa” she smiled and reached her right
hand.

We had handshakes. Tinanong ko siya kung bakit siya naparito.

“I am a student here, 4th-year civil engineering, how ‘bout you? Sky?”

I smiled and spoke.

“3rd year aircraft engineering”

“Engineering?! Same pala tayo e!” she uttered.

“Engineering?! Love! Same tayo!”

“Athena?”

“Athena? I’m sorry?” she said as I noticed that she isn’t her. It’s
just a Déjà vu.

“Nothing… Isabelle pala name mo hahaha! Nakalimutan ko” I said and

smiled awkwardly.

“I have to go na pala”
“here’s my number” she winked and handed me a piece of paper.

“Bye, athe- Isabelle…”

I miss my late girlfriend. I miss my Athena.

I was walking at the entrance of the school when I saw Isabelle

walking in my direction.

“Hi, Sky! Good morninggg! Sabay na tayo pumasok?”

“Hiii Loveee! Morningggg! Sabay na tayo pasokkk?”

“Sure athe- Isa!” I smiled.

Isang taon ang nakalipas, niligawan ko si Isabelle. Limang buwan ko
siyang niligawan bago niya ako sinagot.

“Tangi? Kain tayo? Night market tayoo” she pouted.

“Lovee! Gutom nakoo! Kain tayo night market”

“Sure, love!”

“Love ka jan! tangi tawagan natin” she madly said.

“Love kase kita!” I said and hugged her tight.

“tara na?” I kissed her forehead and held her hand.

“tangi! Since di pa tayo pwede mag kiss”

“isang spoon lang gagamitin natin para indirect” she smiled.

“Hi ate! 1 spoon nalang po”

“Love oh 1 spoon nalang para indirect kiss, bawal muna tayo mag kiss!”

“Okayy, Athe- Tangi!!”

Lumipas ang ilang buwan ipinakilala niya ako sa mga magulang niya.
“Tangi? Dad mo? I want to meet ur Dad” I said. She smiled and held my
hand.

“Let’s meet my dad, Sky”

As we were on our way to her dad, I noticed that she was going on the
wrong way. She’s driving to the cemetery.

“Tangi? Why are we here?” I asked.

“Nasa heaven na si dad” she went on her dad’s tombstone and bent her
knees to pray.

I walked toward her and she held my hand.

“Dad, si sky po girlfriend ko”

“Mom, this is Sky my girlfriend”

I bent my knees and show respect to her dad in front of his tombstone.

“Hi sir, I promise to take care of your daughter” I smiled.

“Hi tita, aalagaan ko po palagi ang anak mo”

-End of Flashback-

Well, I’ll tell u more some other day. Isabelle’s mom is calling me.

“Hi tita! Bakit po?”

“S-sky? Sinugod si Isabelle sa Hospital…”

“S-sky? Athena… pls puntahan mo si Athena…”

No, please… Not again…

I rushed and I am now on my way to the Hospital. I peeked inside the

emergency room and saw the doctor and nurses trying to revive Isa.

“t-tita? What happened…”

“s-she has coronary heart disease…”

“Athena has an aortic disease, sky…”

“Isabelle?! lumaban ka, please…” I yelled outside the emergency room.

“Athena… Wag muna… Wag muna, please”

Nakita ko ang doctor na lumabas, agad ko itong nilapitan at tinanong

kung kumusta na si Isa.

“She’s awake, ma’am. She can still talk to all of you but I’m afraid
that her heart might stop functioning at any time…”

“Athena is awake, but I’m afraid, her heart might stop at any time.”

“Ano?! Edi gawan niyo ng paraan! Tangina doctor ba kayo?!”

“Tangi? Can u talk to me, please?” I uttered while holding her hand.
She smiled and spoke.

“Tangi? Pahinga na’ko, ha?”

“Love? Pwede na baa ko magpahinga?”

“Wag muna, Isabelle, please…”

“Athena naman… wag muna, love oh”

I kissed her hand and she spoke while running out of breath.

“pagod na’ko, Sky…”

“Love… pagod na’ko… g-gusto ko na magpahinga…”

Kahit hindi pa ako handa, hinayaan ko na lang si Isabelle mag pahinga.

Ayoko nang makita siyang nahihirapan. I did not expect the history to
be repeated.
