INSIGHTS

The Dunning-Kruger Effect shows that people who aren't very good at something tend to
overestimate their abilities. It also shows that some people are very smart but don't believe in
themselves. It is when a person does not possess the capabilities or competence in a given field
but perceives themselves as perfectly suited to express feedback or perform tasks in that area,
despite the fact that objective measures or the individuals surrounding them may differ with
them. One illustration of this would be students who have a high IQ but are incapable of
revealing their true selves because they suffer from social issues when they are around other
people.

In light of the fact that I was pursuing studies in the medical field, we needed the
necessary level of expertise to accomplish something that might prove to be of good use to us in
the future. In this course, which I am a part of, intelligence is an exception; however, being
competent is an essential thing for us to have in order to overcome all of the activities and tasks
that have been given in order to reach our objective. One illustration of this is the that the
majority of the activities in this class, most notably the return demonstrations and the group
discussions, need to be aligned with confidence in order to achieve its goal.

I may become a better version of myself by reflecting on my past mistakes and making an
effort to correct them. I would also make it possible for myself to take critical feedback from
other people, and I would make an effort to use such criticism as a motivation for my own
personal development and progress. I would also make it a point to push myself beyond of my
comfort zone and try out different things. I am going to give some consideration to making my
choices on what is advantageous to me.

It is essential that we put it into practice in our day-to-day lives so that we are constantly
reminded that we can be a better version of ourselves each day. This will serve as a constant and
daily reminder to us that we should not be too hard on ourselves. We frequently come in contact
with individuals who are undergoing the Dunning–Kruger effect, and as individuals who are
knowledgeable in this manner, it is our responsibility to either remind the individual or, even
better, avoid them.

Working together with other people, allowing ourselves to gain new knowledge by
asking questions, being open to other people's opinions, and discussing our own ideas are all
ways as contribution to the body of knowledge. Accepting all of the challenges presented in this
course as well as the negative criticism given by the instructors will enable us in allowing
ourselves to grow. I can also contribute by doing well in school and doing my part to fulfill my
responsibilities as a student. One example of this would be when the instructor demonstrates the
steps involved in the process of a skill, and when it is our turn as students, we are responsible for
paying attention, performing our assigned duties, and participating in any subsequent
demonstrations.
