Domain Process Dimensions 1. OBJECTIVES:
Knowledge Understanding Identify the common rock forming minerals based on its physical properties
Skills Analyzing Classify rock forming minerals based on its physical properties
Attitude Valuing
Values valuing Show gratefulness to God’s creation
My learning objectives focus on the WHOLE CHILD. It means it centers on the
totality of the aspects of the leaners. It encompasses the cognitive, skills,
attitude, and emotions of the students. Once these objectives are achieved,
the learners are believed to have learned and used their human potential and
capabilities such as creativity, personal growth, and choice. It allows then to
work INDEPENDENTLY and COLLABORATIVELY with their peers. (Humanism
Approach to Teaching- Learning)

4. Procedures
4.1 Preliminaries
Introductory A. Invocation Song and Prayer/Quote of the Day
Activity B. Reflections
C. Checking of Attendance
(2 minutes) D. Reminders of Classroom rules/Health protocols
4.2 Activity Learning Stations through FGD “Guess Me”
(10 Minutes)  The teacher divides the class into 8 learning stations. Each station is given a picture of rock or a
real rock. Likewise, they are provided with a copy of physical properties of minerals that will
guide the group in their FGD.
 The group needs to describe the rock according to its physical properties.
4.3 Analysis 1. How do you find the activity?
(3 minutes) 2. How will you describe the rocks based on physical properties?
3. What are the physical properties of minerals?

These process questions stimulate the students to THINK COGNITIVELY, INDEPENDENTLY

DECIDE on how he feels about the activities, ways on protecting God’s creation and presenting
his strategies to protect planet Earth without being judged and being wronged . Humanism
Approach to Teaching- Learning
4.4 Abstraction Plenary Activity
(15 minutes)  Each group presents what they had come up with their FGD
 The teacher reinforces the lesson.

4.5 Application Classify Me

(15 minutes)  Each group classifies the rock they have by posting it on the board according to the physical
properties.
 The teacher checks the classifications of the rocks and corrects gently as needed.
4.6 Assessment Paper and Pen (Formative Assessment)
(10 Minutes Identify the mineral properties of the rock.
) 1. Color of mineral in powdered form – Streak
2. Minerals resistance to scratching – Hardness
3. How light is reflected off a surface – Luster
4. Mineral’s resistance to being broken and fracture – Cleavage
5. Ability of minerals to be sliced by a knife – Sectility
6. Ability to allow light to pass through it – Diaphaneity
7. Describes the minerals’ reaction to stress – Tenacity
8. Mineral’s color may change depending on the surface – Color
9. The hardest rock forming mineral – Diamond
10. A mineral with a scale of 1 in Mohs Scale of Hardness – Talc
4.7 Assignment New lesson to study: Rock forming minerals based on chemical properties or compositions
(3 minutes)
This gives the learners the EXPERIENCE that they can be TRUSTED TO STUDY their new lesson
to be prepared in class. It provides them the opportunity to practice INDEPENDENT LEARNING
at home. Humanism Approach to Teaching- Learning

4.8 Concluding
Activity
(2 minutes)

What character do you have that makes you a rock?

In this part of the activity, the students are DIRECTED to REFLECT on their personal character
that makes them a rock. The EMOTIONAL and SPIRITUAL aspect of the learners are being
cultivated as components of the WHOLE CHILD. Humanism Approach to Teaching-Learning

5. Remarks
6. Reflections
A.  No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation. D.  No. of learners who continue to require remediation.

B.   No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation. E.   Which of my learning strategies worked well? Why did this
work?
C.   Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught up F.   What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or
with the lesson. supervisor can help me solve?
