The Magician

General Summary
Anna lives in Rome. Carl Bixman and his parents are in Rome too, because they are on
holidays. Carl´s father is a famous magician, his name is Theodore Bixman. Anna knows
him from magic shows, and that night, he is on TV.

Anna meets Carl in the street, when she rides her bicycle. They go to the zoo and she
sees a man with one arm and a man with sunglasses. Then Carl asks Anna if he wants
to meet him at bar Capri the following day.

Next morning, Anna goes to bar Capri but Carl is not there. Some minutes later, she
sees a man with one arm and Carl driving away in a black car.

One-arm loses some papers. The papers are from Antonella theatre, so Anna goes
there, because she thinks Carl can be at the theatre.

She talks with Lorenzo Mancarelli, a magician, but Carl is not there. She goes to piazza
Rosa number five, because she follows him. She sees Mancarelli writing a letter that
says he has Carl and he wants to know Bixman´s trick.

One-arm leaves the house and takes the letter to Bixman´s hotel. The man with
sunglasses goes to get some cigarettes, then goes to the car, puts on the alarm and
locks the door.

Anna has an idea, Mancarelli is the only man in the house so Anna takes a ladder and
breaks the car´s window, so the alarm goes off and she can help Carl to get out of the
house.

The police take Mancarelli and his men to the police station.

Carl´s parents invite Anna to have dinner. They are very thankful because she saves
Carl.
