A REGIONAL ICON AND MARKETPLACE TO
THE CULTURAL AND CULINARY ARTS
The Piers are place where the transformation of the Western Multi-leveled Piers Board Walk Active Waterfront

District waterfront both begins and ends. The four reclaimed


CMP for the Western Harbourfront piers demonstrate an active waterfront history of commerce PROGRAMME / EVENT
and serve as a memory for the type of uses that once occupied
the majority of Hong Kong’s waterfronts. Early-phase work
City Scale concentrates on bringing alternative uses to the piers as cafes,
museums and galleries, linked by an extended pedestrian
promenade. Later phase works would seek to integrate spaces
within the market building and tram depot into the overall
