 Critically evaluate the theoretical underpinning of project management


principles.

 Demonstrate critical knowledge and understanding of project life cycle, key


project activities, deliverables, tools and techniques and how to ensure the
likelihood of project and project management success.

Proposed Case Study – 1

Assume that you are the project manager of a project from these industries:
Telecommunication, Information Technology, Apparel, Healthcare, Engineering or
Construction (you may select one real world example as classified the size of
intermediate or large which could be conducted within Sri Lanka).

Select the most suitable project management methodology for the chosen project. And
explain the reason why that methodology has been selected for the above said project.
You are also requested to prepare a work breakdown structure and identify the critical
path.

Report should explicitly cover the project success criteria using evidences from past
project management practices
