Dear Hiring Committee,

It is with great excitement that I submit this letter and resume as my application for the position
of Elementary School Teacher. I believe that my knowledge and passion for teaching would make a
positive contribution to your school.
I will complete my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Lebanon Valley College this
May. While completing my degree, I had the opportunity to do my student teaching at Northwest
Elementary, which has given me hands-on experience in working with young children. During my pre-
service training, I have fulfilled responsibilities that have prepared me for the role of a full-time teacher.
Some of these responsibilities I have fulfilled include creating centers for math and reading. I
implemented a new math curriculum in the classroom and adapted it to meet the needs of my students.
Some ways I met the needs of my students was through center-based instruction, where I focused on
the unique skills that the students acquired by direct instruction.
I aim to help students achieve their goals by creating an inclusive and encouraging learning
environment full of positive interaction and engagement for students to learn. I can adapt my teaching
style according to the specific needs of my students. Also, I find it important to keep myself updated
with the current technologies and new teaching methods/strategies. One way I do this is by
understanding the learners in my classroom and what they need for success.
I have experience working with young children ages infant to 5 years in a daycare setting. I
provide quality care to children by ensuring their safety and needs are fully met. I also stay current with
educational trends on providing the best care for young children. Through my previous experiences
working with children, I believe the skills I can bring to this school include teamwork, leadership,
collaboration, accountability, and compassion.
Furthermore, I am passionate about teaching and understand how important it is to connect
with students and help them thrive in their education. I would enjoy discussing this position with you
