diagram shows that 49 % of the overall population works as a factory worker in Goodfound
Cement Corporation, 25 % has Food and Retail businesses, 11% is Hog Raising, Livestock Farming
with 8 %, 4 % of which is Bread and Pastry Businesses, Garments with 2 %, and Petroleum
business with only 1 %. Therefore, the identified major source of livelihood in Barangay Palanog,
Camalig, Albay is employment in private company and the goodfound cement corporation is the
main source of it while the least source of livelihood is petroleum business.
LOCATION
Palanog is a barangay in the Municipality of Camalig, in the province of Albay. This barangay is
18.5 km away from Albay’s provincial capital of Legazpi City. It is situated at approximately
13.1481, 123. 6156, in the island of Luzon. Elevation at these coordinates is estimated to be at
147.3 meters or 483.4 feet above mean sea level.

Barangay Palanog shares a common border with other barangays such as Brgy.
Bantonan, Brgy. Bariw, and Brgy. Miti which are all from the same municipality. Barangay
Palanog also shares a common border with barangays from the Municipality of Guinobatan
