ACCEPTANCE

To the beautiful and dynamic Cluster 8 Adviser and EPS in TLE, Ma’am
Julie Acosta, to the supportive and handsome Cluster Head, Sir Crispin
Buensuceso, to our brilliant and hardworking School Head, Ma’am Prisca Romela
C. Buenaventura, to the ever-supportive barangay captains Hon. Aurea C. Dumaua
and Hon. Maxvell Benzal, to the charming and diligent City Councilor, Hon.
Rachel V. Garcia, to the faculty and staff, guest and friends … A wonderful
evening to all.
Tonight, is the time for us, to accept and be thankful of the responsibility
that the outgoing Supreme Student Government is passing to us. You may not be
wondering how complicated and challenging the word “RESPONSIBILITY” is
however the word responsibility means accepting something that you and you
alone are accountable for your life. Being responsible therefore is a realization that
you are, where you are and what you are, because of your conduct and behavior.
We must be trained to accept every responsibility that we are accountable of. We
must start now. Not later nor tomorrow, because being responsible today will make
us a successful person someday.
Accepting this key of responsibility is not about the key itself, but it is about
how we would handle and serve as a leader to our fellow students. We are no
longer kids, we must now learn how to discipline ourselves, we must learn how to
control our unstoppable voices and lastly, we must now be able to distinguish what
is right from what is wrong. Next school year, the next batch of officers will be
accepting the same key of responsibility. Isn’t it nice to hear that we served as a
role model to them? Isn’t it heart melting if we hear them say “Thank you for
being a good example”. It is a cliché to say ‘Good leader is a goof follower”, but
that is a fact. At this moment we embody the Student Council, we are now the
leader of the whole studentry. But the phrase ‘good leader is a good follower” wont
make a sense if we wont apply it. Soa s a start we must learn to follow God, our
parents, our teachers and lasty the rules and regulations of the school.
On behalf of the class, I ZAIRA MAY DESCALSO, whole heartedly and
humbly accept the key of responsibility that you entrusted to us. The legacy that
you will leave in our school and in our life will continue. The values you showed
will not stop in us, as what I’ve said, it WILL CONTINUE because the next time
we pass these responsibilities, we will definitely remind the incoming ones how
you took care and handle everything here in our dearest alma mater.
Once again thank you those who have supported our endeavors, for without
your trust we won’t be here to serve you. Thank you and lets all enjoy the night.
