INTEGRATIVE ASSIGNMENT

Se trabajará de manera integrada con las siguientes tres materias del

Campo de la Formación Específica:

Estudios Interculturales en Lengua Inglesa I

Introducción al Inglés para Fines Académicos

Prácticas Discursivas de la Comunicación Oral I

OBJECTIVE OF THIS ASSIGNMENT

The purpose of this assignment is twofold: (1) to check your understanding of the
topics dealt with in class in relation to the different texts that we’ve covered, (2) to
assess your organization of the talk, language use, fluency and pronunciation.

To do so, we would like you to choose one of the different topics that we’ve covered in
class in the three subjects (identity, memories, history, culture, representations,
stereotypes, language, values, etc.) and relate it with the different oral and written
texts that we’ve worked with.

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

1. Remember not to read your script!

2. Your presentation should be about 3 to 4 minutes long. Time your presentation.

3. You could use PowerPoint.

4. Make sure your presentation is well organized; this means that it

should have an introduction, body and conclusion. The purpose of
your story should be clearly stated.

Speech outline

It is important to create an outline before you deliver your speech, as it will act as your
guide to effectively sequence your information and ensure you touch on all your main
points. Outlining allows you to ensure your speech flows smoothly. Use an outline as
a tool for delivery of extemporaneous speaking.

necessarily suit the content of your own speech.
