Basic Terminologies
 Ace – a score gained by the server immediately from his/her serve
 Doubles – a match composed of 2 players on each opposing sides
 Deuce – when the score is tied at 20 all, a player/pair has to lead 2 points to win a set
 Fault – an infarction of the rules
 Let – to stop the rally due to some type of outside interference
 Love – the term used to indicate the score zero
 Point – a score gained by any of the player
 Rally – an exchange of shots after the serve has been delivered
 Rally point system – a system that gives a score either to server or a receiver when faults occur
 Singles – a match where there is one player on each opposing sides
