3-In-1 Hair Detangler HP-253

This 3-in-1 leave-on spray is designed to give you triple the conditioning benefits⎯softening from CRODAZOSOFT™
DBQ, lipid replenishment from CUTISSENTIAL™ BEHENYL 18-MEA, and detangling from INCROQUAT BEHENYL
TMS-50. The formula contains no silicone or oils, yet provides terrific detangling and wet combing, deriving its
conditioning effects from the mix of the three Croda quats. Designed using a ratio of quat actives that yielded the best
performance, the formula was evaluated in-house in half-head salon tests and found comparable to a benchmark
brand detangler.

pH: 4.2 ±0.5; Viscosity: 12 cps ±10% (RVT Spindle #3 @ 50 RPM)

Procedure
Combine Part A ingredients with mixing and heat to 80°C. Maintain this temperature for 10 minutes and then cool to
55°C. Add Part B, mixing well. Cool to room temperature and adjust pH to 4.2 if necessary.

Salon Evaluation
The 3-in-1 Hair Detangler was evaluated by a licensed cosmetologist in a half-head, double-blind study on 5
panelists. This formulation was compared to a leading brand commercial benchmark. This formulation outperformed
the benchmark in all measured attributes.
