SD – CONDENSING PLANT

• The thrust plain bearing is dripped in oil bath cooled with sea water from cooling and lubricating water

In the pumping station object, this pipe line is carried on 3 sliding supports. In the part between
the pumping stating and entrance to the engine room, the pipe line is led underground in sand
subsoil. ON this part pf the line , there are provided five inspection holes ( utilized also for the
installation of a portable pump, for exhausting the cooling sea water system) and a branch pipe
to water drain basin . In the engine room, the pipe line is led in a concrete channel on the floor at
-5.10 meter on 1 fast and 4 sliding supports. Three branch pipe lines (VC20, VC30 to the
condenser and VC40 to service water coolers) are brought out of this part of VC11 pipeline in the
engine room, and a drain piping.

protection against overpressure.

 The filter is equipped with a filter fouling signaling device to the control room and with a local indicator
of presser loss, drain and deaerating pipings with fittings.
 The service water system consists of five separate parallel branches. The flow in every branch is
controlled by a regulating valve with pneumatic drive operated by the pressure difference at the
branch inlet and outlet. All five branches are joined to a single common collecting pipe in the suction
part of service water pumps.
