Subject: Notice for Demolition


Removal of On-Site Structures with Defects and Non-Compliance to Codes and
Specifications

Dear Sir,

As per our joint inspection done last June 11, 2022 (Saturday) and June 13, 2022 (Monday)
with the Structural Engineer and the Client, it has been assessed that the current condition of the
structures does not comply with relevant engineering codes and specifications, such as the National
Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) and National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP),
resulting to poor workmanship as described with the following findings:

• Insufficient utilization and striking of formworks


• Visibility of structural cracks
• Honeycomb
• Bulging and warping
• Inaccurate dimension of structural members
• Alignment (both vertical and horizontal) of structural members
• Deviation of details of structural members
• Unreliable method of concrete pouring and measurement
• Inappropriate storage of materials

With these findings, it has been recommended and agreed by all parties present to remove all
existing structures via demolition at no cost to the Client and the Contractor shall execute immediately
this Notice.

SCOPE OF WORK:

1. Demolition of whole structure to the ground level.


2. Use of equipment or machineries to speed up demolition procedure with the help of
manual manpower.
3. Clearing and hauling of all debris and garbage to its appropriate dumping site except soil.

CONDITIONS:

1. All salvageable items (wood, concrete and all other salvageable items inside the
structure, will be for the account of the demolition contractor.

2. Insurance, wages, and coverage of all workers that will undergo the demolition services
for the account of the contractor.

3. All government permits necessary for the demolition of the said structure, are for the
account of the contractor.

4. Project duration is seven (7) working days upon issuance of the Notice for Demolition.

5. Upon completion of the demolition, the contractor should coordinate with the Project
Architect/Officer and/or Client to conduct site inspection.
6. Failure to submit a written response and act in conformity upon the receipt of this notice is
subject for Termination of Contract and is required to refund the full amount of first and
second down payment amounting to P1,900,000.00 One Million Nine Hundred Thousand
Pesos including damages.

7. Failure to settle the client refund and ignorance shall be ruled by the Philippine Courts
and abide by the law.
