1. DISCUSS THE FOUR COMMONLY ABUSED DRUGS
AND THEIR EFFECT ON ONE’S BODY.

The first commonly abused drug is the depressants, depressants are drugs that inhibit the
function of the central nervous system and are among the most widely used drugs in the world.
These drugs operate by affecting a one body nerve cells which leads to symptoms such as
drowsiness, relaxation, decreased inhibition, anesthesia, sleep, coma, and even death.

Second is the stimulants, stimulants are a class of drugs that speed up messages travelling
between the brain and body. They can make a person feel more awake, alert, confident or
energetic. This can also increased heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature, reduced
appetite, agitation and sleeplessness.

Third is the hallucinogens, hallucinogens also known as ‘psychedelic drugs are a class of
drugs that changes a person’s perception of reality. The effect's of this drug in a one's body is
increased heart rate, nausea, intensified feelings and sensory experiences, and changes in
sense of time. This can make a person see, feel and hear things that aren’t real, or distort their
interpretation of what’s going on around them.

Lastly is the narcotics, narcotics are a class of drugs that are used to treat moderate to severe
pain, as well as severe acute pain. The effects of this drugs in a one's body is to become tolerant
to the drug, which reduces the euphoric feelings.

2. DESCRIBE THE MANIFESTATIONS OF DRUG

Sudden weight gain or loss
Bloodshot eyes and frequent bloody noses.

Losing a loved one to death, divorce, or desertion
Being a victim of domestic abuse

3.EXPLAIN WHY THE YOUTH MUST BE EDUCATED
ON ILLEGAL DRUGS.

I agree that youth must be educated on illegal drugs because i think it is usual for
adolescents to engage in a certain amount of risk-taking. Risk-taking that involves
experimenting with drugs, young people who experiment with drugs harming their
motivation, memory, learning, judgment, and behavior control. The problem is, most
young people don’t know that those really are the genuine risks of using substances that’s
why youth must be educated on illegal drugs to help to prevent drug use among
youngsters like for example, schools can offer educational seminars and lectures on the
effects of drugs, they can also teach young people practical skills on how to avoid peer
pressure situations.
