 Prayer

 Dating/Courtship

" Way back on 1989, me and my wife met at our

hometown in Don Pedro Cui where my wife
stayed in Cebu for college, She did not
originally came from Cebu, But she was born
and raised from Surigao Del Norte, and when
she passes through our neighborhood I get to
have a glance on her beautiful face and we
started talking and eventually go on dates on
Plaza Independencia. and Through God, It
helped me strengthen my faith on becoming
loyal to my wife despite courting her for

 Relationship

Based from the Idea of my Mother, Her first

heartbreak was an excruciating pain that she
ever felt during her college days, It was the
time where she left surigao del norte for
college here in Cebu, and there they broke
ties with her past boyfriend. According to my
Father, His ways on expressing his love to
others is showing his sincerity towards a
certain relationship, It took over a year of
courting before my Father surprised my father
an Engagement ring.

 Engagement

According to my parents, It took at least a

year for them to finally get married after
the engagement and their practical sings that
lead them to the stage of engagement was the
essence of loyalty, sincerity, and Integrity
to one another. According to my Mother, They
spent the time preparing by going to masses,
enjoying the time together and also having
faith to God on the process of their
preparation and through their undying love,
they allowed God to enter their hearts which
allowed both of them to be in the highest
form of loyalty.

 Commitment

According to my parents, they received their

sacrament of matrimony on February 8, 1992 at Sto.
Rosario Parish, Cebu City, they decided to receive
the sacrament of matrimony as they believed that
this sacrament will uplift them on being in one
flesh in the unity of God's grace. They are
blessed with 3 children, 1 girl and 2 boys, and as
stated by both of my Mother and Father, they
taught their children to go to mass every Sunday,
Have a moment of bible study during weekends, and
Pray the Rosary daily during the Night time and As
Catholic Members, our family was able to help the
society and church by following orders and having
faith to God unconditionally.

Synthesis:
Through the Marriage-Love story of my Mother and Father,
I've learned countless of things, most including having
faith to one another, avoid the temptation of
distractions that may ruin the essence of relationship,
Being consistent through efforts and deeds, and
Witnessing of being open to one another and to relate
this all through an open heart and mind to Praise God
such as the concrete example of Praying the Rosary and
listening to what God is saying in their hearts during
Sunday Masses whenever there are problems in order to
ask help and Intercession to the Lord and to the Divine
Mary. And through all these, It would help me find my
discernment for my Vocation by simply listening to the
voice of God and to his presence that is within me.

Prayer:
Dear Almighty God,

I acknowledge your timing and abundant grace on the

Marriage-Love Story of my Parents. Through your
heavenly presence, I thank you for giving my parents
the understanding and intimate relationship to one
another and I am truly grateful that you have given
my parents the quality time to be in one flesh and
the desire to be with each other. With your light,
Encourage my parents to be faithful to one another,
give them the grace of having the peace of mind in
order to strengthen their Sacrament of Matrimony,

AMEN.
