FINDINGS

1. Optical surface of the Sender/Receiver and Reflector is slightly dirty.

2. 4-Quadrant lens was found broken and has been white stain due to exposured by UV ray.

3. There are some alarms found before verification test with test gases is carried out.
These alarms are Measurement value out of range, Absorption out of range, and Spectral evaluation
(BadModel)

ACTIONS

1. Cleaning the optical surface with an optical cleaning cloth and purge it with clean air (nitrogen).

2. Replace the broken 4-Quadrant lens with new one.

RESULT

1. The optical surface has been cleaned.

2. 4-Quadrant lens has been replaced and the performance of UV lamp increased from 64 % to 92 %.
3. Optical alignment after replace the 4-Quadrant lens is good.
4. Appear “absorption out of range” that still can not be resolved. We need further communication with
factory to resolve the issue.
