The general surgery department's surgical team consists of a surgeon, an anesthesiologist, a licensed registered
nurse anesthesiologist, and an operating room nurse performing on a 50-year-old laparoscopic appendectomy
patient. The appendix must be laparoscopically removed by the surgical team. There were, however, problems
after the procedure in which the wound was infected.

During the surgery, a few small incisions in the abdomen allow the surgeon to reach the appendix. A device
called a laparoscope will be inserted through the incision until the abdomen is inGated. The laparoscope is a
long, thin tube with a front camera and a high-intensity light, allowing the surgeon to see and direct the
instruments inside your abdomen. It will be tied off with stitches and removed when the appendix is located.
After that, the small incisions are cleaned, closed, and dressed.
