Renewable and
Non-renewable
Resources

Our resources can be found in the environment.
And the natural resources can either be renewable
or non-renewable which greatly improves our lives
as well as our environment making it convenient for
us to live and do what is needed to be done.

Renewable resources
are materials which
can be formed the
same rate it it being
used. It is very common
that we uses to
produce energy are as
follows:

Solar such as solar

panels converts solar
energy into electricity.

Wind turns turbines to

produce electricity.

Hydroelectric involves
moving water
powering a turbine to
produce electricity.
Geothermal where the
underground steam is
captured and flows
through a turbine to
produce electricity.

Biomass includes
plants and animal and
human body waste
burned to produce
electricity.

Non-renewable resources are materials that can

be formed much slower than the rate it is being
consumed. For example for this are fossil fuels
which needs million of years to be formed. Coal,
just like fossil fuels, takes millions of years to be
created for it to be consumed. Another example of
a non-renewable materials are the minerals used
in creating metals.
