2024 Toyota Tacoma: Hybrid and Electric

The 2024 Tacoma is one of the most-anticipated trucks in recent years, and we expect Toyota to give it a
lot of new features.

Almost certainly, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma will be the first truly new Tacoma pickup in nearly 20 years.

It will look a lot like the 2022 Toyota Tundra and have a new platform, new powertrains, and a bigger
package overall.

We think that Toyota will offer more kinds of Tacomas than ever before, including a turbocharged I-4, a
hybridized V-6, and even an electric Tacoma.

2024 Toyota Tacoma: Exterior, Comfort, and Cargo

The 2024 Tacoma will have a lot in common with the 2022 Tundra and the 2023 Sequoia in terms of how
it looks on the outside.

This means that the new version of this mid-size pickup will have bigger features and some parts with
the same layout as its older brothers and sisters.

It will also have the same TNGA-F architecture as the new Tundra, Sequoia, and the upcoming 4Runner.
This is a body-on-frame platform that supports the new Tundra, Sequoia, and the upcoming 4Runner.

2024 Toyota Tacoma: Interior, Infotainment and Connectivity

We don't know what the new Tacoma's inside will look like. We expect, though, that the truck will still
come with an extended cab, a crew cab, a short bed, and a long bed.

We can only hope that the back seat in the new truck is bigger than the one in the crew cab.

We think that the infotainment system in the 2024 Tacoma will be bigger and more up to date.

That probably means the current 8.0-inch touchscreen will be replaced by something bigger, maybe
even the 14.0-inch touchscreen in the new Tundra.

We expect the new Tacoma's infotainment center to still have Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi
hotspot, along with some new features.
2024 Toyota Tacoma: Engine

Toyota reportedly plans to offer the pickup with gas, hybrid, and electric powertrains, with the electric
version looking very much like the electric truck concept that was revealed by the company in December
2011.

According to reports, Toyota plans to give its electric car a closed grille and other front-end stylistic cues
to set it apart from its internal combustion engine (ICE) and hybrid models when it goes into production.

The next Tacoma has been speculated to use Toyota's upcoming TNGA-F platform.

However, specifics about the powertrain, such as output, engine size, and more, are unknown currently.
At now, you may get a Tacoma from Toyota with either a 2.7- or 3.5-liter V6 engine.

2024 Toyota Tacoma: Release Date

As a result, we won't see the new pick up until the 2024 production year. The forum post claims that
2024 Tacoma manufacturing was originally scheduled to begin in August 2023.

That delays the release of the new pickup truck to early 2024. The gasoline and hybrid versions will
presumably arrive in the United States first, followed by the electric version a year later.
