It may keep the Camaro nickname, as Chevrolet has just applied the Blazer moniker to a crossover that
has no similarity to earlier models.

Over the next 13 years, parent company GM will switch all its brands, including performance models, to
electric cars.

2024 Chevy Camaro Exterior: Expectation/Rumor

The visualizations are based on the Cadillac Escala concept, which was shown for the first time at the
2016 Pebble Beach Concours elegance. It is a sleek, swooping four-door sedan.

The visuals give the Escala new front and back ends that make it look like a Camaro sedan.

Some of the design comes from the front fascia of the Bolt EUV, like the low-set, triangular headlights. In
between them is a fake grille.

Above them is a thin grille with the Chevy bow tie in the middle and thin-slit daytime running lights on
either side.

This is the part of the design that looks most like the Camaro.

The back of the four-door Camaro is a different story. It has a unique full-width taillight element that sits
on a redesigned trunk.

A red RS badge on the trunk adds a touch of sportiness, but this is just a rendering for now, and the idea
of an all-electric Camaro with four doors is just a rumor.

2024 Chevy Camaro: Is the 2024 Chevrolet Camaro Electric?

The Corvette is already set to get hybrid and all-electric powertrains in the next few years, but it's not
clear what will happen to the Camaro after the current generation stops making cars around 2024.
GM presented their vision for an all-electric future with an image of its Ultium Electric Vehicle platform,
superimposed with the silhouette of a sports vehicle.

The image is remarkably like a profile shot of the current Camaro, but Chevrolet refused to comment on
the likeness.

Although all previous Camaros were coupes, reports suggest this new model will be a sedan.

Even though Chevrolet could put any kind of body on the Ultium skateboard platform, Camaro sales
have dropped sharply in the past few years, and coupes have become less popular in general over the
past ten years.

2024 Chevy Camaro: High Performance Electric Sedan

The flexible Ultium platform will be used to construct all future GM EVs. This allows for a wide range of
configurations.

It can also accommodate one to three electric motors, allowing this EV sedan to be anything from a
traditional rear-drive performance car to a 1,000-hp all-wheel-drive super sled.

Chevrolet has not stated which path it will take or whether it will offer multiple battery and motor
configurations, as GMC does with the new Hummer EV pickup.

2024 Chevy Camaro: Price & Release Date

Changing the Camaro from a two-door sports car to an all-electric four-door sedan would be a smart
move for the brand, but it wouldn't be the first time it's been done.

If Ford can use the Mustang name for a four-door electric crossover, then a four-door Camaro sedan
doesn't seem out of the question.

The rumor about a Camaro sedan doesn't have a set date, but it's said that it wouldn't come out until
sometime after 2024, since the current Camaro will be around at least until then.

The Chevrolet Camaro's electric successor might hit the market in 2024, with a starting price of about
USD $40,000.

If it's a four-door, as has been speculated, it will face stiff competition from the Dodge Charger electric
replacement, which Stellantis' Brampton Assembly Plant may produce as early as 2025.
