SANGAMESHWAR COLLEGE SOLAPUR BBA II MINI PROJECT

The prospects of paper cups depend on the value of customers

who utilize it. But in our country paper cups are used by all the
people as it is easy to use, hygienic and eco-friendly. Hence, per
capital consumption has increased and the demand for it is
recognized. While the demand for paper cups has shown a good
growth, the company will be successful in strategizing its market
operations.
As paper cups are a product of daily consumption and necessity,
their marketing will not be a problem as the consumers are
aware of the advantages of using paper cups. The raw materials
are indigenously available and the manufacturing process is also
simple.

3.3 Market Trends:

A rising demand, particularly from emerging economies, is
assisting the global paper cup industry. The sector is also being
driven by the rising demand for food service disposables as a
result of the development in online food ordering and home
delivery services. The global paper cup industry has benefited
from a growing fast-food culture as well as an increase in
demand for hot and cold beverages. According to the current
conditions of pandemic people prefer to order food home or

SANGAMESHWAR COLLEGE SOLAPUR BBA II MINI PROJECT

3.4 Competition:
We all are well aware about the competition that is
increasing in today’s market especially for the paper cup
manufacturers. To make a place in today’s competition it is very
important to give a quality product to the customers which is
economically profitable to the customers would help us sustain
in the market. It is very important to make sure that the company
is giving good quality of products in the lowest of the
production cost. To start a paper cup business is easy if you have
enough contacts. Its a saturated business but their is a large
possibility of expansion as this market is not an organised
sector.

3.5 Indirect and direct competition:

Indirect competition:
Paper cups are definitely the most sustainable and eco friendly
way of using the non-reusable disposibles, but in today’s world
plastic disposables also play a very important role in the
competition of the market. To overcome this competition it is
very important to make sure that we enhance the sale of this
paper cups more and more as they are very eco friendly and also
very budget friendly. Paper cup markets can overcome the use

14
SANGAMESHWAR COLLEGE SOLAPUR BBA II MINI PROJECT

of plastic disposables over a period of time if people start

avoiding plastic disposables completely.

Direct compitition:
Altough we don’t have many direct competitions for now
but it is very important to make sure that we try to sustain in this
industry in long run. This industry is comparatively cheap to
start and run. By seeing the growth in the industry like ours
many huge investors try to enter into the industries with huge
capitals causing a threat to other manufacturing companies by
forcing us to move towards the newer market segments. But the
potential market products and certain market share can help us
sustain and also help us develop more in it.

3.6 Pricing strategy:

Besides the quality of the product, pricing of the product is
the key factor that gives the average to the companies, it is
important to give the product at the reasonable rate along with a
good quality. At such times the huge investors in the market take
a chance of invading into the market and make huge profits in
the businesses of manufacturing industry.
Wholesale Price of one paper is 0.27 RS.
