1) What is the scope of the safe spaces Act or RA 11313 all about?

- Under 11313 or the safe spaces. Act(Bawal bastos law) it covers all forms od gender-based sexual
harassment (GBSH) committed in public spaces, educational or training institutions, workplace and
online space.On April 2019, the safe spaces or "Bawal bastos law"was enacted which seeks to protect
any person from gender-based sexual harassment in public spaces.The law seeks address the many gaps
which is not covered by the sexual harassment framework and to promote gender equality wherein
persons may be free from doing their ordinary lives.of a particular importance is the widening of the
scope of waht constitutes sexual harassment and where it can be take place, in sum tha law also
contemplates that sexual harassment may also emanate from a colleague and not just from someone in
the work place who is superior or who has moral ascendancy, in this regard, any person may be an
offender if/she has made a transphobici sexist comments.

2) Identify and discuss the exempted acts under RA No. 11313 or the Bawal bastos law?

-Acts that are legitimate expressions of indigenous culture and tradition;

(2) Breastfeeding in public.

As you can see, any act, demeanor, or remark that has the tendency to offend, harass or degrade a
person may be punishable under the Bawal-Bastos law.

3) Under the stipulated provision of the Bawal bastos law as a student, how does it protect the rights of
all gender?

- For me as a student, the law can protect you in several ways:

. Safe spaces program: The law creates a "safe spaces" program which will be implemented by local
government units, including schools, to promote the rights and welfare of marginalized sectors, and
ensures the provision of adequate and necessary support services to all genders and marginalized
sectors, including students.

Prohibition of discrimination: The law also prohibits discrimination on the basis of gender, age, sexual
orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, ethnicity, and other characteristics, which means
that all students have the right to be treated with respect and without discrimination.

Overall, the law is designed to protect the rights of all genders and marginalized sectors, including
students, to be free from violence, harassment and discrimination
