How listening to music influences our brain?

Have you ever transcended into, while listening to music, a

world where you always want to be, one which has the
architecture of your desires, which exudes your current
mood and feelings? Music gives one the power to weave the
threads of their desires, into an everlasting experience. Music
rhythmically flows in and pulsates the heart with the feelings
one wants to express. When one is troubled with the
miseries of this world, music connects one’s mind and soul,
giving him eternal peace. Music, on entering our
mind, triggers the pleasure centres which release dopamine
harmonizing the mind. Music has the power to evoke
emotions. And not only does it make us feel happy, sad, or
want to get up and dance, but certain melodies are
embedded in our memories. Sweet bitter memories happen
to flash back, leaving a nostalgic smile on our face. The
melody of a song initially re-jogs our memory, while the lyrics
allow us to relate to the song and brings meaning. Music isn’t
simply a mixture of pleasing beats, tones, sounds and lyrics
mashed together to satisfy the listener. It’s a gateway for
individuals to time travel back to a moment long passed.
