SPED-Autism Spectrum Disability / Intellectual Disability

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, learners will be able to display ability in classifying and discriminating objects

II. Learning Content


Subject Matter: Classifying objects according to size, height, and length.
Reference: Children with Autism Teacher’s Guide: The Most Essential Learning Competencies
Instructional Materials: pictures,`visual aids, video presentation.

III. Procedure

A. Presentation
The teacher will shows a 3 video presentations about classifying objects.

B. Discussion
The teacher will present the pictures to the learners and asks them questions about the pictures.

What can you say about it sizes?


Which one is small?
Which one is big?

What can you say about the height and length of the pencils?
Which one is longer?
Which one is short?
A Rhino is a big animal.
A dog is a small animal.

C. Generalization
The teacher will now generalize the discussion and asks the students a questions.
What are your learnings? Do you think it will help you in your daily life?

D. Application
The teacher will present the pictures of objects (flashcard) to the learners and let them arrange it
from smallest to biggest.
