II. Direction: Give three (3) famous or unique traditions or cultures in Cordillera
Autonomous Region (CAR). Explain it how it is done or celebrated.
It is rich in ancient culture. The way of life of the people in
this region existed way back to ancient Filipinos before the
Spanish colonization.
It also has various festival, these includes the Panagbenga or
Traditions & Baguio Flower Festival celebrated every February. The
Cultures festival highlights are the flower exhibits, garden tours, floral
competition, and parade of floats. Other festivals in the region
include the Ulalim Festival in Kalinga, Lang-ay Festival in
Mountain Province, Banaue Imbayah Festival, and the Tabuk
Matagoan Festival.
Beside their own tribal cultures, there is a Cordilleran culture
which is largely molded by the geography of the Cordilleras,
and their common heritage of resisting the invading imperial
powers including the continuing adverse encroachments by
lowlanders.

Feast of Black Nazarine
• Thousands of people gather in Quaipo, Manila, and
Traditions & celebrate the figure of Christ, a statue built more than

and women join and walk for hours through the streets
