South Bend Police Department Officer Jalen Lee, being duly sworn upon his oath, says that:

On or about February 2, 2023, I was working as a School Resource Officer, along with SRO Thomas,

during the Washington High School Boys basketball game against Riley High School, located at 4747 W

Washington Street, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. During the warmups of the varsity game, I

noticed JAMARION WATSON, Darnell Ford, D- E-, and ISAIAH REDDING walking about the
school. I alerted the administration and all security staff to be on high alert due to these individuals being

present and having known associations with the Westside gang. During the first half of the game, I also

observed S- P-, A- J-, D- J-, DESTEFANO RICHARDSON,

JAMARION WATSON, KEEION MAHONE, and K- M-, also known associates of the Westside
gang, sitting with the previously-named individuals.

During halftime, I Observed everyone in the group walk down from the upper stands to the lower level of
the gym. I observed D- E-, S— P-, and
A- J — approach T-
Rl, a seventeen year old known to associate with the South East Side gang. I Observed a brawl commence
that spilled onto the floor and resulted in multiple brawls involving multiple people. SRO Thomas and I

responded immediately, with a host of other administrators and faculty and security, to break up all of the

fights and make sure all parties involved were removed from the building. We then released fans, students,

and athletes.

A review of security footage depicted KEEION MAHONE swing the first punch and hit T- R-
T- R- attempts to run away and is pushed down, at which point TISEAN OVERSTREET, A-
J—, S- _all kick
and and stomp on T- R-while he is on the floor. T-
R- cousin, Tyjuan Reid, T- R- comes to aid and more fighting ensues.

In one of the other brawls on surveillance, DESTEFANO RICHARDSON and ISAIAH REDDING punch
J avontae Wallace, a known associate of the Patch Gang, multiple times.
While present on scene, I also personally witnessed JAMARION WATSON actively participating in the

fighting by pushing and punching others.

I was able to personally identify all individuals through prior experience except TISEAN OVERSTREET,
who was identified by JJC Probation Supervisor Craig Redman through prior experience from the
surveillance Video.

Many other individuals who were involved in the fighting are being investigated.

I affirm, under the pains and penalties for perjury, that the foregoing representations are true.
