Give practical applications of the concepts that you have learned from the
learning  activities. Write your 5-sentence answer in a separate sheet of paper.

ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES PROPAGATION

Electromagnetic waves are made up of shifting electric and magnetic fields that
carry electromagnetic energy from one location to another. Electromagnetic waves
produce electric and magnetic fields that are vectors in planes that are perpendicular
to each other. The electromagnetic energy propagates in a perpendicular direction to
the two planes containing the electric and magnetic fields (transport electromagnetic).

MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI)

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a popular medical imaging method that is

employed in many diagnostic centers throughout the world. These MRI scanners create images
of the organs in the body by using powerful magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients, and radio
waves. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses powerful magnets to create a strong magnetic
field that compels protons in the body to align with it. The protons are activated and spin out of
equilibrium, straining against the magnetic field's pull, when a radiofrequency current is pulsed
through the patient.
