ELENA KALIS

Gracias a unos

- Name of the photograper

- Date and place of birth (indicate years of life and if still living)
- Interesting details about the photographer such as were he/she went to school, what are
they best known for, what makes him/her unique...?

i don´t have that much info because she isn´t that famous.

- Type of photography known for (genre) and explain what does it mean.
- What impact do you think this photographer's work has had on society in general? Why?
- Influences: by / from / to / circumstances in life

some of her models are her friends, mostly the ones from when she started as a
photographer.
It´s inspiring that she focuses her work on such a difficult type of photography.

- Most important (famous) work (pick 5 and comment 1)

- Significant contribution(s) to photography (include any techniques they may have invented
and how they became "master photographer""

advertising and Alice. comment Alice.

- Special techniques used (like lighting, color, black and white, silver gelatin print, digital, etc)
- How do we distinguish his/her work from others- What they themselves said/say about their
work (quotes OK)

she uses different and opposite techniques, such as color pictures and black and white ones
or pretty bright images and not bright at all. But in mostly all of her work we can see the line
that separates the ocean from the sky, or the reflection of the model in this line. And same
clothing.

- Your opinion of the work and anything else you find important. (What made you choose that
person, what is it that you like about their styles, etc)

I appreciate her work due to its complexity.
