HELLO IM NICHOLE MOJELLO, AT THIS TIME I WILL BE EXPLAINING TO YOU OUR PROPOSED TOPIC FOR
GEC 15 PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION which will be---.

[ show next slide ] [ read title ] FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE INTENT OF MIGRATION AMONG
GRADUATING CMU BS NURSING STUDENTS OF S.Y. 2021-2022

[ go to next slide ] WHAT IS THE RELEVANCE OF THIS TOPIC?

This study would contribute valuable information on the matter with the factors affecting BSN Students
Migration on a local sample.

With this, additional information would be prefixed and hopefully, with this data, the government can
find better strategies at treating the true cause of constant nurse migration.

Through the data and analysis that our study provided, future researchers may further explore this topic
using this study as a reference.

[ go to next slide ] OBJECTIVES

This research is a study to assess the factors influencing the intention of migration among the graduating
students of Central Mindanao University Bachelor of Science Nursing Students S.Y. 2021-2022. Along the
way, researchers are to specifically identify, evaluate, and compare these factors and showcase the
results in a manner that can be easily understood.

[ go to next slide ] INTRODUCTION

It has been noted by several studies that the Philippines exports a large amount of nurses year by year
(Cachero, 2021). So much so in fact, that the country has been titled as the “World’s Main Exporter of
Nurses,” (Trines, 2018 cited by Cuevas et al.) by the end of the 20th Century. Several findings suggest
that graduating students, in particular, have increasingly shown to be more inclined towards working
abroad than staying for local work in several varying reasons.

Here several studies are briefly explained in order for us to have a glimpse at what the study is going to
be. [read slides]

Presented in this slide are the limitations of this research and the studies that are cited in it. [read slide]

[ go to next slide ] SUMMARY

Identifying the variables that influence

migration should be taken into account among graduating student nurses. In this way, several strategies
might be developed in order to alleviate the situation of the constant outflow of talented nurses that
could be directing their talents into improving Philippine healthcare, going forward.

[ go to next slide ] RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This research will be descriptive quantitative research.

Data will be collected through an online survey with the use of Google Forms or any other online
platform due to COVID-19 restrictions.

From whence descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode) shall be obtained and analyzed using basic
statistical tools (Analysis of Variance) to produce results.

Purposive sampling will be utilized to allow researchers to select particular respondents who will satisfy
the objectives of their study, and the survey shall be the research instrument.
Researchers will utilize WiFi or Data connection for virtual meetings and formulation of other data.
Gadgets will also be used as a medium of communication between the researchers and respondents.

On the screen shows the flow chart of activities. The arrows show a descending order where the
activities shall be done in its following consecutive months.

[go to next slide ] GANTT CHART

On the screen shows the gantt chart of activities. Within the first two months of planning, identification
of the problem, and defining the objectives will be accomplished.

The second month will be allotted for the needs assessment followed by the finalization of the sampling
method and research instrument to be utilized during the first half of the third month. Which will
include the first three chapters of the research paper, to be created within the last two weeks of the
third month.

In the first half of the fourth month, the researchers will present and defend their research proposal.
Once approved, they will then produce survey questionnaires as the means to gather data and
information on the second half of the fourth month. Upon making the survey questionnaire, the
researchers will group the factors according to categories.

Following this, the researchers will proceed with the data collection through the dissemination of the
survey questionnaires on months 5-7. The eighth month of the conduct of this study will then be allotted
for the analysis of the data collected through the use of descriptive statistics (mean, median, and mode)
and basic statistical tools.

The researchers will then finalize the research paper during the ninth month, and submit and present
the completed study at the end of the tenth month.
