Introduction:

Introduction to 555 timer IC:

The 555 timer IC is an integrated circuit used in a variety of timer, delay, pulse
generation, and oscillator applications. Derivatives provide two or four timing circuits
in one package. It was commercialized in 1972 by Signetics.

Introduction to Transistor:

A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify or switch electronic signals and

electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material usually with at least three
terminals for connection to an external circuit.

Transistor we are going to use:

We are going to use the NPN Transistor MRF947 hence the collector and emitter will
be left open (Reverse biased) when the base pin is held at ground and will be closed
(Forward biased) when a signal is provided to base pin. MRF947 has a g MRF947ain
value of 110 to 800, this value determines the amplification capacity of the transistor.
When this transistor is fully biased then it can allow a maximum of 100mA to flow
across the collector and emitter.

Introduction to resistor:
A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical
resistance as a circuit element.

Simulations (NI Multisim/Proteus Design Suite)

We can use both software’s depending on our need and tools (present in software) which
we are going to use in order to simulate our project simulation.

Multisim is an electronic simulation software along with NI Ultiboard on the other hand
proteus is somewhat advance in circuit simulation and have more features and tools
present than multisim. We can also add some libraries in it in order to make sure our
desired project’s simulation is working smoothly.

Discussion on Project’s Goals

Why we choose this project:

We choose this project for our better understanding of components we are using in our
project. To make ourselves understand the concepts better than usual. To implement all the
major concept of advance electronics we learned in theory

Our Project’s Goal:

Several years have seen a dramatic boom in the radio communications sector, hence, raising
the amount of consumers of mobile communication apparatus. This underscores the need for a
more efficient and more dependable signal jammer. In tight security places, it is mandatory
for individuals to turn off their phones. Likewise, in examination halls, it is required that
students should not keep their mobile phones with them. There are many places where cell
phones are not allowed. This project is made with this plan to handle this issue with the littlest
and least demanding conceivable way.

Our main vision:

Our main vision is to keep our project neat and not make it overly complex by putting
unnecessary components but at the same time we want to make sure our project just stand
apart from all the other projects in terms of concept clearance and everything that comes with
it. We will make sure that we follow the deadline very strictly and submit our each and every
task on time without delaying it and making some sort of excuses.

Our future goal:

We want our project to be used in future to demonstrate the concepts which pupils study in
advance electronics theory.

Why our project will stand out:

Our project will stand out from other because of the simple components used to make a much
better thing out of it. As it is not easy to make such project with such limited
components but we will make sure that we give our hundred percent here and achieve the
desired result we wanted. Without using any additional component which we haven’t
mentioned. From transistor to resistor, from capacitor to LED. We will make sure that
everyone can follow and understand our every step to achieve our result. As all those
members are very much anticipated for our project to start.

Our stability and anticipation regarding project:

As we have mentioned above how we going to perform our project and what are our goals
regarding performance. We also are very keen to submit our project on the given time and we
wanted to make sure that we are following each and every deadline very closely and by the
end of semester we will complete our project in a representable and clean way. We will make
sure that we use every source our respected lab instructor has provide us and we will try to put
each and every concept he has teaches us in lectures

Theoretical analysis of our project (Synchronous lights with music):

Basically the mobile jammer circuit consists of three main circuits. If the three main circuits
are gathered then the output of that circuit is called as a jammer. The three circuits are
mentioned below

RF amplifier

Tuning circuit
Voltage controlled oscillator

The transistor Q1, and the two capacitors C4 & C5(in above diagram) and also with one
resistor can compose the RF amplifier. By using the tuned circuit the RF amplifier amplifies
the signal and the amplification signal is given to the antenna with the help of the capacitor
C6 this capacitor will remove the DC signal and permit the AC signal. If the transistor Q1 is
in ON state, then the tuned circuit at the collector end will be tune ON and the tuned circuit
consists of capacitor C1 & inductor L1 hence it act as an oscillator with zero resistance. This
oscillator will produce the high frequency with minimum impair. Both the indicator &
capacitor in the tuned circuit will oscillate the resonating frequency.

Hardware picture of our project:

Results and Conclusions

This circuit can block signals only within a 100 meter radius. Usage of this type of circuits is
banned and illegal in most countries. This circuit is also used in TV transmission and remote
controlled toys.
