HEALTH & SAFETY GENERAL NOTICES :

1. You must disconnect and lock out the electrical supply before commencing any Electrical work on this asset, unless directed
differently in the instructions below.
2. All tools should have proper insulation. You are to ensure that proper personal protective equipment is worn at all times.

3. Post appropriate “Maintenance in Progress” sign in front of the asset.

Inspect all conductors, system components and all

accessible roof terminations
Check all terminals to earth rods and at test points

are clean and tight and that earth pits are clean
Inspection and testing of surge suppression devices

to determine their effectiveness
Measure the resistance to earth of each earth
electrode at the test point or group of electrodes
when disconnected from the installation (for
multiple electrodes a single measurement for the
group is adequate).With all the earth
4 electrodes and any bonding to other services X
connected to the installation measure the
resistance of the installation
to earth from random points on the installation.

Check for evidence of corrosion or conditions which

5 may lead to corrosion. Apply preventative X
lubricants as necessary
Check that all cross bonding points to roof plant

metal work etc are clean and secure
Check all roof tape and down conductor fixings are
7 X
secure
Check cross bonding to main electrical earth bar is
8 X
secure
Inspection and testing of the system to determine if
9 the effectiveness of the system has been altered by X
additions or changes to the building structure
