 INTRODUCTION
Air Conditioners are used to tune the atmosphere of a building environment in order
to increase comfort of the inhabitants. It can either cool down or heat up the environment.
In Nigeria, most of the times, air conditioners are used to cool down the environment
because it’s a temperate region. The temperatures may reach as high as 40 degrees at
times like some places in the north. The area where I carried out my research is Lagos.
The temparatures there also reach high numbers at times, so most times air condition is
needed to cool down office environments and other inhabitable places. The sale of Air
Conditioners have risen due to its availability and diverse affordable types. Major
stakeholders like LG, Haeir, Samsung and other notable brands have invested a lot of
money in building factories, assembly plants and service centers because of the increase
in demand of air conditioners and other appliances. This report shows some of the various
types of air conditioners that these companies provide in order to enhance comfortable
living.
