Title: Multibeneficio potpourri standing toy

Nature of Work:- Novel Solution/ Indigenous design to a
problem/challenge
Rationale:- Provide a solution to address many problems like
 breathing issues among kids due to pollution,
 carbon emission produced while using electric diffusers
 energy consumption
 High purchasing cost
Objective:- Design a multibeneficial toy to provide a solution
for above mentioned problems using the following scientific
concepts :
 Using reed bamboo sticks as natural diffuser saving
energy and reducing carbon emission
 Using pure Camphor that enhances the breathing
capacity of a person and treats lung congestion
 Using natural aromatic lemon grass oil (acts as a natural
mosquito repellent)
Materials Used:

 Fevicryl mouldit
 Camphor balls
 Bamboo sticks
 Fragrance oils (lavender)
 Rock salt
 Paint Colours
 Paper cups
 Aluminum Foil, Safety Pins
Procedure:

Making of the lower part

 Step 1 - start by cutting the bottom surface of the
paper cup
 Step 2 – wrap the opening of the paper cup of the
upper surface from aluminum foil
 Step 3 -use the mouldit to cover the paper cup except
for the opening in the bottom part
 Step 4- after covering the paper cup make a nose , a
beard ,a moustache ,a pair of hands and a pair of feets
and attach to the paper cup
 Extra step – to make the nose just simply make a small
ball out of the mould and then make the side of the
ball flat and give a curve to the other to ends, for
making feet repeat the same process but make three
side of the ball staright whereas keep the other 1 side
on a curve , make the hands by making a ball out of
mould then flattening it and give it the shape of a hand
and as for the beard use some flattened mould and
shape it like a beard then use a safety pin to carve the
hair in the beard
 Make 3 to 4 medium size goles holes in the mould at
the back of the lower body
Making the upper part
 Make a cone by using paper , then cover the cone by
mould
 Make a small ball and attach the ball to the pointy side
of the cone
 Now for the final step paint the toy by using acrylic
paints
Final procedure
 Pour the aromatic liquids in the hallow part of the
lower body of the toy
 Pass bamboo sticks through the holes made in the
backside of the lower body
 Put crystallized rocksalt and camphor balls in the hands
of the toy
