INTRODUCTION

Make www.usdmint.com website look like www.digitaldollarproject.org website.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

This project involves the front-end design and development of a new website for the USD MINT. The client
required the design refresh as well as managing content by site editors. Another problem they are
experiencing is a poor display of the website across different browsers, especially mobiles and tablets.

With the new website, the content (images, text etc.) will be manageable by the client and it will have
similar design to www.digitaldollarproject.org.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

- Design and develop a modern content managed website that delivers a seamless and engaging user
experience.
- Ensure the site CMS is highly functional yet easy to use so various users may upload content.

SCOPE OF WORK

1. HOSTING SETUP
The hosting service should be compatible with Drupal’s requirements therefore it’s important to buy an
appropriate hosting for the new website.

2. DATA MIGRATION FROM THE EXISTING SOFTWARE

User accounts will be migrated to the new Drupal environment.

3. WEBSITE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

The theme will be similar to the www.digitaldollarproject.org website. Front-end design work will be done in
Bootstrap 5 and backend CMS in Drupal.

4. MAINTENANCE
For the maintenance of the website, including hosting account, the developer will be responsible after the
project.

PROJECT TASKS

TASK 1: HOSTING ENVIRONMENT SETUP

Setup necessary software for the new website on the new hosting server.

TASK 2: DATA MIGRATING FROM EXISTING ENVIRONMENT

Migrate existing users to the new Drupal website.

TASK 3: NEW FRONT-END DESIGN

Get the images and layout from www.digitaldollarproject.org and create Bootstrap 5 theme for the new
website.

TASK 4: CONTENT ENTRY

The content from the existing website will be transferred to the new website.

TASK 5: BROWSER TESTING

The website will be tested to make sure it works with modern desktop web browsers. The site will also be
tested to ensure it looks properly when viewed on mobile devices.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Drupal CMS requires appropriate hosting account that includes command line interface (SSH access).
Amazon Lightsail hosting service is recommended for this purpose.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- Web server: Apache 2.4.7+

- Database: MariaDB 10.3.7+
- PHP 8.1+
- Composer 2

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide hosting account details of the existing website.

- Obtain and provide new hosting account details of the new website.
- Transfer the half of the amount of invoice to developer’s account just after project sign off.
- Transfer the other half of the amount of invoice to developer’s account after the new website is live.

FINAL COSTS AND INVOICE SCHEDULE

Stage Amount

Project sign off £6,000

After making website live £1,500

Extra Costs out of SOP will be Assessed and added to final total after handover.
