Miguel is a farmer and has a farm of dairy cows. His job is feeding them,
keeping them clean and milking them twice a day. After he milks the
cows, Santiago the lorry driver picks up the milk and takes it to a
factory that processes dairy products. At this factory, Amaya and her
employees convert the milk into cheese, butter, yoghurt and packaged
milk. These products are sent to the city so that Pilar can sell it to her
customers.

The present situation and perspectives on tourism in the Caribbean


islands.

During the second half of the 20th century, the Caribbean islands


started to replace the traditional sugar cane industry with tourism.
This activity has now made the islands one of the most important
tourist desitnations in the world. 

The tourist industry is very fragile and is easily influenced by military


events, health issues, disasters, economic situations, etc, and is always
dependent on external factors... It is at the mercy of the tourists' home
markets.
