ABSTRACT

The present paper aims to bring understanding to the Philippine culture and heritage. It
intended to gather information related to arts and crafts, music and dance, rituals and
religious activities, lifestyle of the people (tribes), social practices like marriage, gender,
and language, architecture, and housing of the country.

INTRODUCTION

Philippine culture and heritage build through different periods and time. The nation’s
history consists of colonialism that affects its identity up to this date. Prominent
development through different times evolves during Pre-colonial period, Spanish period,
American and Japanese period, Post-war and late twentieth century, and the new
millennium.
