The International Symposium on Crime Studies (1st & 2nd April 2023) is the third
international event organized by the Centre of Criminology and Forensic Studies
at Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences, O. P. Jindal Global University.
Renowned experts in fields of criminology, forensics and related crime studies
are invited to discuss new research and insights on emerging crime phenomena,
technological advances in Crime Studies and Criminal Justice System.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSIONS OF RESEARCH PAPER PRESENTATION


Submissions should be of a high standard, unpublished and suitable for scientific or
professional publications. The paper could be theoretical review, or field research-based
papers as well as practical/experimental papers based on individual, institutional or
community experience. The presentation should reflect complete analysis and
contribution of the study. All submitted abstracts and papers will be referred to blind
reviewers to uphold the high standards of the symposium. All papers should follow the
APA 7 citation format.
Papers are expected to have a uniform structure/format, Times New Roman font, size 12,
1.5- line spacing, maximum of 20 pages including references, appendices, figures, etc.
Abstracts should not exceed 500 words and should be organized as (1) title, context, and
objectives, (2) methodology, contribution and not more than 5 keywords. Best research
paper award will be announced during the valedictory session.

CALL FOR FULL RESEARCH PAPER


Selected presenters would be invited to submit their full research or review paper for
consideration for publication in the forthcoming issue of Journal- Global Advances in
Victimology & Psychological Studies (ISSN: 2583-5335). Detailed communication for Call
for Full paper would be notified to selected conference presenters post the conference.

CASE STUDY ANALYSIS
Centre for Criminology & Forensic studies invites participation for the criminological
case study analysis to be held as an on-campus events on 1st April 2023 at O.P. Jindal
Global University. Case Study Analysis competition is organized to encourage students
and recent graduates to engage in critical thinking in analysing various criminological
case study. The winners will be declared at the valedictory ceremony of the
symposium.

ELIGIBILITY & RULES


v The competition is not barred for students from any field of study but is open to only students (Graduates
and Postgraduates not above the age of 30).
v All the participants will be provided with a dedicated case study on the day of the competition.
v The Organizing Committee will provide analysis Sheets to write report on the possible suspect, modus
operandi, utilisation of various forensics to solve the case.
v Each participant shall be given 15 minutes to read the case study and subsequently 60 minutes time for
report writing.
v Further guidelines and grading rubric will be intimated on the day of the event. Results will be declared
after evaluation of the reports by experts.
v All participants will be awarded with Certificate of Participation

POSTER PRESENTATION
Centre for Criminology & Forensic studies invites participation for the Crime Studies
Poster Presentation competition to be held as a hybrid event on 2nd April 2023 at
O.P. Jindal Global University. The Presentation aims at setting a platform for all the
budding scholars and emerging researchers to present their ongoing projects, real-time
work and share their views and aspects related to the theme of the symposium. The
winners will be declared at the valedictory ceremony of the symposium. All submitted &
presented poster presenter will be awarded with Certificate of Presentation

ELIGIBILITY & RULES


v This competition is open to all students (Graduates and Postgraduates not above the age of 30 are
encouraged).
v The abstract should include complete details of the contestant (e.g., abstract title, name, affiliation, abstract
and biography etc).
v Abstracts must be submitted through registration link. Shortlisted abstracts for the competition will be
intimated through email.
v Opportunity for young researchers to learn about the research areas of their peers to increase their capacity
as multidisciplinary researchers.
v Presenters will be required to submit a JPEG/JPG version of poster before the symposium for presentation.

ACCOMODATION & TRANSPORTATION


Delegates will be provided with University Shuttle on a prepaid basis from Haiderpur Metro
Station (Yellow Line-Delhi Metro) to the University and return service post the symposium.
Due to limited accommodation during the symposium dates, Delegates are requested to
arrange their accommodation near the University during the symposium. List of the hotels
will be shared with registered participants. Delegates would be required to arrange their
transport from respective hotel to university or Haiderpur metro station.
