My name is ………… .

My team and I are going to talk about how higher education prepares us

for the workplace. We will explain the importance of how higher education trains us and gives us

experience to get a very good job. First we need to understand the meaning of higher education.

Education is the knowledge received through schooling or instruction and from the educational

institution as a whole. Also education is both the act of teaching knowledge to others and the act

of receiving knowledge from another person. The education of a person can be divided into two

ways: academic and domestic, which complement each other, thus being a global formation.

Higher education is also changing, it adapts to the times and leads the change in societies. These

are some of the main arguments that support the idea of higher education as the true key to

success.

Higher Education, qualifications, provide academic skills for getting a job.

The university or College prepares you academically, that is, it provides you with the necessary

knowledge to become an expert in the career you have chosen. You must study and pass courses

in mathematics, physics, chemistry, literature, and many more. The study of these makes you an

expert in your field of study, without which you could not work in any way. For example, careers

such as medicine, law, nursing, teaching, accounting, all engineering, etc. They need specific

knowledge that is only taught at universities, colleges, or higher education centers. Just obtaining

your academic degree, be it a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. issued by one of these institutions,

accredits you as a professional and puts you on the front line to acquire a job. You would think

that only professional degrees are necessary for these careers, but this is not the case, trades such

as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry can also be studied and graduates will have a
better position in the long list of people who apply for a job. A piece of information that

illustrates what has been said is provided by the QS portal, which reveals that in 2019 Stanford

had a job placement rate of 100%, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology 99.6%, and

Harvard 94.2%.

Education keeps up to date: they provide training and valuable tools to get a job.

Contrary to what is thought, universities have been modernizing with the purpose of better

preparing their students to acquire jobs. Many of these institutions have agreements with leading

companies in their areas and send their students to do training when they are already in the last

levels of studies, one or two semesters before graduation. Universities such as Berkeley

(California) are also making the classroom look more like an office by making students choose

their schedules and/or courses and thus begin to organize themselves for what will be their next

working life. And at the University of Utah, there is a program called Grade Plus that offers

transversal courses to all specialties for today's competitive world such as web design and

marketing. According to the universia.net portal, there will be 06 new professional careers in the

next decade: Psychologist expert in technology and social networks, information security, food

industry, expert in hack schooling, environmental engineering, and expert in artificial

intelligence. These careers will be dictated by universities or higher institutes worldwide. And

anyone who wants to achieve a great career should study them.

Education Preparing To Shape The Future Job Market:

At the level of society, university students are not only preparing to be part of or influence the

competitive labor market of the future, but they will also be the ones who will shape it. They will

be the leaders of tomorrow, the main cultural references. They will be the most powerful people

since, due to their academic-socio-cultural level, they may have high purchasing power. There

are even high probabilities that they will become the next political leaders of the country. In

2015 when the 12 main world leaders met in Berlin, only 01 of them had no university studies,

this is a sample of how far you can go by continuing your studies after finishing high school.

In conclusion, College prepares the student for the workplace, and give the students better

opportunities, experience, and knowledge that can help the students in the workplace, which is

the person who gets a higher education is more likely to get a better opportunity in the

workplace. Education is The knowledge obtained and studied that is obtained from the

educational centers as a whole, as it adapts to the times and leads the change in societies,

education is divided into two forms which are academic and domestic. These two forms

complete each other to be ready for the workplace. We find that  education is the real key to

success at work.
As Nelson Mandela says, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to

change the world.”

Values education covers various topics related to citizenship and ethics, including:

Empathy
By putting ourselves in other people's shoes both cognitively and emotionally, we improve our
ability to resolve conflicts and understand others' opinions.

Equal opportunities
The principle that we are all equal is one of the pillars of democracy, and moreover it fosters
social inclusion and community life.

Respect for the environment

Values education makes us aware of the consequences of our actions on the planet and instils in
us a respect for nature.

Care for health

We need to minimise health risks by encouraging the right attitudes and tackling health
education from a dynamic, personal and collective point of view.

Critical thinking

This way of thinking makes us more analytical and observant, teaches us to recognise quality

information and helps us to solve problems.

Questions that we can make to the another team

1. What have been your sources of research to say that education does not prepare you for

work?

2. Have you thought that education has always adapted to the new times in order to help its

students to get a job?

3. According to your research, how does a professional acquire values such as punctuality,

responsibility, discipline, honesty, etc... Is this not through education, be it at home or in

a house of studies?

4. We know that teamwork, knowing how to speak in public, making decisions, good

customer service, etc. are very important qualities for every worker, but all these are not

enough if a professional does not know about their specialty of studies... as arguments for

your thesis then?

5. Did you know that the main world leaders, as well as the brightest minds, and

outstanding in the current cultural field have had a careful education from their homes

even?
