1 Documents To be submitted along with the bid
1.1 As a part of technical offer, the Tenderer shall enclose the Catalogs / brochures of the offered equipment along with General Arrangement /
Schematic drawings / Dimensional details of proposed UPS modules, Design calculations for sizing of the battery banks for the specified duty
coordinated and matched with the requirement of UPS, arrangement of Battery cabinets, PDB and associated components, cabling indicatng
plan, elevation, rear and side elevation, inside view showing mounting arrangement of various equipment, location of terminal blocks for
internal / external wiring connections to cover controls, protection interlocks, instruments, cable entry, slots, gland plates, etc.

1.2 The TENDERER shall confirm that the make / model offered UPS, Battery, PDB and other components are conforming to the Technical
specifications and electrical data sheet. Type test reports of the offered UPS and Batteries as per relevant IEC /IS shall be submitted. Item wise
Bill of material for each module listing all devices mounted indicating the make, type, ratings, duty class, applicable standards, quantity etc. to
be enclosed.
1.3 In case the bidder is not an OEM of UPS systems, an undertaking from the OEM shall be submitted indicating that, "The supplied UPS system
conforms to the technical specification requirements and electrical data sheet. Also other equipments offered by the bidder in the quote viz.
Battery, PDB and other components are suitable for the UPS to be supplied".
1.4 A "letter of Assurance" from OEM to provide comprehensive Maintenance and service support, including replacement of defective parts and
supply of spares for the UPS system at least for 10 years excluding the warranty period of 12 months to be submitted, indicating the authorised
service centres in India along with name of incharge, address, phone nos. etc. for verification.

1.5 The UPS and associated equipments shall be covered under comprehensive on site warranty for 12 months including free maintenance and
replacement of the faulty parts and labour from the date of the final acceptance at RAPP -7&8 site. During warranty period service support
shall be extended in all working days and holidays and beyond working hours on requirement basis for maintenance services. The boarding/
lodging / transportation of the service personnel during the warranty period shall be included in scope of the bidder with out any additional
cost to NPCIL.

2 After Placement of Purchase Order


2.1 The successful Vendor has to submit a Quality Plan (QP) including Boughtout components, factory inspection and testing, packing and
transportation, On Site inspection, Procedure and Checklist for Installation and precommisioning tests, commissioning and integrated testing
of the UPS system and other components for NPCIL approval.
2.2 Prior to placing order / assembly of UPS modules, PDB and Battery banks or any bought out items, the supplier has to submit the GA
drawings and technical details of equipment for NPCIL approval, viz. UPS modules, Battery banks, No of Batteries, AH capacity and charging
/discharging characteristics including clearances for accessibility / maintenance of UPS and battery cabinets, base frame, cable entry, cables
and other components.

3 Supply Part
3.1 During the pre-dispatch inspection, if the offered UPS system, Battery, PDB and other components are found not meeting the requirements in
the technical specifications / electrical data sheet, the equipment will not be accepted by the NPCIL. One certified copy of the factory type and
routine test reports shall be furnished during inspection. After successful predispatch inspection and acceptance as per QP, shipping release
will be issued.
3.2 Supply and fabrication of components required for complete installation and commissioning of the UPS system, Battery banks, Power DB and
other items, including consumables for welding, hardware accessories, painting, clamps and connectors, glands and lugs, laying / termination
of power and control cables, earthing cables etc., though not specifically mentioned in the technical specification, data sheet or BOQ are
included in the scope of the vendor without any additional cost to NPCIL.
Bidder has to take the above into account while bidding.

3.3 Vendor shall arrange transit insurance coverage of the supplied equipment and accident insurance coverage of all service personnel. NPCIL
shall not be responsible for any liabilities arising out of any accident / injury caused to vendor’s personnel during installation, commissioning
or maintenance services of the equipment. The vendor shall be responsible for any loss or damage during transportation, handling and storage
of the system / equipment due to improper packaging / handling. In case of any damage is observed during on site inspection / at time of
installation, the vendor has to repair / replace the same at his own cost.

4 Installation and commissioning Part


4.1 The Supply, commissioning, testing and integration of the UPS system along with PDB, demonstration of operational features shall be
executed by a single vendor on turn-key basis under supervision of experienced personnel from the vendor / OEM in consultation with NPCIL
representative.
4.2 On site practical Training covering Operation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of the UPS system to NPCIL personnel shall be provided by
authorized from OEM without any additional cost to NPCIL.
4.3 Documentations are to be furnished in (1- soft copy in digital media and 3- hard copies for operation, maintenance and troubleshooting etc.
after completion of the installation. This shall include System Specifications, Block Diagram / GA drawings, description and operational
features, Installation, Operation and maintenance manuals, Manufacturer instructions, Wiring diagram & Termination Drawings etc. for the
supplied UPS System, PDB and battery.

4.4 The installation of the UPS and Battery system must be carried out by the vendor without disturbing the existing systems / works at RAPP-
7&8 site. The vendor’s persons while working at NPCIL premises shall follow the security rules and regulations of NPCIL. To the extent
possible the work shall be carried out during normal hours of NPCIL (9AM-6PM) from Monday to Saturday. However prior permission will
be required to work on holidays and beyond office hours on working days. All the required manpower, machinery, tools & tackles for
transportation from NPCIL stores to erection site / handling of the equipment during installation and commissioning at the site is included in
the scope of the vendor without any additional cost to NPCIL.

4.5 On successful completion of installation, commissioning, training and integrated trial run for 7 days, by authorized representatives of the OEM
/Supplier, completion certificate will be issued to initiate the warranty.
