V. Shama took a hard-boiled egg. She separated it into two parts E and F
depending on the colour. Later she mashed E and F separately and added
water to make a solution in two different test tubes X and Y respectively.
Then she added a few drops of sodium hydroxide followed by copper
sulphate solution drop by drop in both the test tubes. In test tube X the
solution remained blue but the colour of solution in test tube Y turned
violet.
