implementing random drug assessments in DMMA College of Southern Philippines.
Today, we have a panel of experts who will be sharing their knowledge and insights on

maritime industry and is currently the director of safety and training at a leading
maritime company.

Sagabaen: Next, we have Dr. Vista, a professor of maritime safety at a well-known

university, and an expert in the area of drug use in the maritime industry.

Stephen: Finally, we have Mr. Sustento, the CEO of a leading technology company that

Princesa: Captain Visaya, can you start us off by sharing some of the reasons why
implementing random drug assessment in maritime school is important?

Captain Visaya: Thank you, it's my pleasure to be here. Implementing random drug
assessments in maritime schools is important for several reasons. First and foremost,
drug use can impair a person's judgment and reaction time, which can be dangerous in
the maritime industry. Additionally, drug use can lead to accidents, injuries, and even
fatalities. By implementing random drug assessments, we can help to ensure that
students who are training to become maritime professionals are doing so in a safe and
drug-free environment.

Sagabaen: Thank you Capt. Visaya. Dr. Vista, what are your thoughts on the
effectiveness of random drug assessments in maritime schools?

Dr. Vista: Thank you for the question. I believe that random drug assessments can be
an effective tool for deterring drug use in maritime schools. Additionally, they can help to
identify students who may be struggling with drug addiction, allowing schools to provide
support and resources to help them overcome their addiction.
