Introduction of the Course:

The purpose of this course is to illustrate the concept of “Banking Laws & practices in Pakistan”
with a perspective of banking business activities and helping the students to understand the
working and contributions of various financial institutions in Pakistan’s economy.

Course Learning Outcomes:


 To develop conceptual skills so that students are able to integrate previously learned
aspects of banking.
 Distinguish between different types of financial system identifying components and
appreciating the significance of particular financial developments.
 Apply analytical frameworks and use relevant economic principles to describe the
role and operation of banks, financial markets and other institutions.
 To give an insight to central banking, its functions and methods of SBP to control
monetary policy of the country.
