What is the text all about?
1. The text was all about the business of Trendy Fashion House promoting a new sale and discounts
coupons by October 1 to October 20 of the year 2019.
2. The text was about Dr. Macapagal's qualities and achievements and as to why she deserves the position
of applying as a Professional Teacher to the Bright High School in Quezon City.
3.The text was about the monthly administrative staff meeting and its agendas. It also includes the people
who were present and absent at the meeting as well as the date, time, and location.
What is the purpose of the sample text?
1. The purpose of the sample text was to communicate and inform the customers as well as potential
customers of what they are offering for the month of October. It was to incite action since they weren't
asking for a response.
2. The purpose of the sample text was for Dr. Macapagal to give her resume and state her qualities,
achievements, and skills to apply for a position as a teacher in Bright High School. It was to elicit
responses since the author of the text was waiting for the response of the school.
3. The purpose of the sample text was to record the monthly meeting of the staff including what happened
during the meeting. It was to incite action since the text was sharing information about the meeting.
Do you think it was effective in fulfilling its purpose?
1. I think it was not as effective as it is since their purpose was to promote a new sale in their business to
their valued customers and they used a type of business writing to do this, if they wished to let the
consumers know what they are offering for the month of October, they should have used a different
method that would fit.
2. I think it was effective since it is similar to a resume that is used for job applications, in her case was
that she wrote her qualifications as a letter and did not list them as what a resume would look like.
3. I think it was effective since they have recorded the agendas and other details about the meeting that
they had.
